How to apply
To apply for a TymeBank medical aid plan, you first need to have a TymeBank account. If you don’t have one, simply download the TymeBank app from the App Store (for iPhones), Google Play (for Android smartphones) or AppGallery (for Huawei smartphones).
Next, open the app and follow the prompts to open a free account easily. You will have to be at least 16 years old with a South African ID number and a South African cellphone number.
Once you have opened an account and have activated your profile on the app, log into the app and navigate to “TymeHealth.” Enter your details in the application form and submit once you’re done.
“As soon as you are successfully registered, you will get your digital membership card on your TymeBank app. You will need to take this card and proof of ID when you visit a Network Health Provider,” TymeBank explains on its TymeHealth webpage.
“Your first premium is an upfront payment on application. Thereafter, your selected bank account will be debited on the 25th of each month, providing the 25th falls on a business day, otherwise your debit order will run on the next business day.”
For the medical aid to apply, you must use a healthcare service provider listed on the National Healthcare Provider network. There are over 10,000 providers on the network. You can find the Healthcare Provider network here or the MediClub MobiApp.
