‘Proud street hawker’ inspires Mzansi: ‘Don’t be ashamed of your hustle’

A Bloemfontein man has inspired South Africans on social media after proudly showcasing his hustle.

Anathi Nonxuba posted photos of himself on Twitter on Thursday. One of the pics showed him braaing boerewors for sale.

While some may look down on such a hustle, Nonxuba was doing it with a happy smile on his face – and was smartly dressed to boot.

He captioned the pics, “Don’t be ashamed of your hustle. Nobody will feed you if you go broke. I’m a proud street hawker.”

Founder and CEO

According to his Twitter and LinkedIn profiles, Nonxuba is the founder and CEO of Muffins R Us (Muffin King).

It would seem that in addition to braaing boerewors, Nonxuba also bakes muffins and other treats.

His runs his hustle at Free State’s Central University of Technology (CUT).

In a recent Facebook post, he said he dreams of opening his own bakery one day.
