Small business owners stand a chance of winning a share of R1 million in prize money in the Shoprite Hustle competition 2021, retail giant Shoprite announced on Tuesday (17 August).
The annual competition awards R50,000 in cash, a laptop, and digital and social media support to each of the 20 winners. They will also gain access to the 12-month Startup Circles’ Ignition programme.
“Shoprite recognises the critical role the more than two million SMMEs (small, medium and micro enterprises) in South Africa, many of which are in the informal sector, play in growing the country’s economic future,” the group said.
