A star-studded lineup is set to entertain revellers at Phase 1 of the much-anticipated ULTRA South Africa 2024 – and tickets are selling out fast.
The popular event, which is Africa’s premier electronic dance music festival, will take place on Friday, March 1 in Cape Town at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth Racecourse, and on Saturday, March 2 in Johannesburg at the Expo Centre at Nasrec.

International heavyweights and ULTRA South Africa veterans such as eight-time Grammy award winner Skrillex, Dutch icon Afrojack, stadium-smashing superstar Steve Aoki and Dutch progressive duo W&W will headline the ULTRA South Africa 2024 lineup.
Additionally, Brazilian DJ/producer Vintage Culture will be making his debut performance for this annual event, headlining the RESISTANCE Stage. South African luminaries Major League DJz and Shimza are also set to perform at the festival’s 9th edition.
The festival broke attendance records in 2023 and revellers can similarly expect top-tier electronic talent, cutting-edge technology and large-scale productions in 2024. The Phase 2 lineup will be unveiled soon, organisers said.
Tickets prices
Tickets are already on sale now at on the ULTRA South Africa website. Tier 3 tickets are available for the Johannesburg event, with prices starting at R1,095 for GA (general admission) tickets and R2,500 for VIP tickets. Limited tier 2 tickets are still available for Cape Town, starting at R895 for GA tickets and R2,000 for VIP tickets. Ticket prices are all-inclusive with no hidden fees.
Other ticket categories, such as Tier 4 and VVIP, will be available soon. Those interested in the Tables Experience category will need to contact organisers via the link available on the website.
ULTRA South Africa debuted in 2014 and is one of the longest-running world editions of ULTRA Music Festival, which is now present in 20 countries.
UPDATE: The event’s organisers later announced that “Black Friday Rewind” tickets would be available from R695, with the promotional offer starting at midnight on 24 November on Black Friday until stocks last.
