Massmart-owned retailer Makro has unveiled the fourth catalogue for its month-long Black Friday 2023 sale in South Africa, with up to 50 percent off selected products.
In a statement on Monday (30 October), Massmart said its retailers (Game, Makro and Builders) would continue their new practice of running specials and deals throughout the month, not just on the actual Black Friday date, which is 24 November 2023.
“Despite the difficult year local consumers have faced, our customers have expressed keen interest in Black Friday this year,” the company said.
“Massmart’s customers have been clear that they prefer month-long promotions as they have more time to compare pricing and shop for the items they really need; and are able to avoid the Black Friday rush.”
Makro Black Friday 2023 catalogue
Makro will run this year’s sale in weekly tranches as follows:
- Week 1: 29 October – 5 November
- Week 2: 6 November – 12 November
- Week 3: 13 November – 19 November
- Week 4: 20 November – 26 November
