Massmart-owned retailers Game and Makro are now selling MrBeast chocolate bars in South Africa for R49.95 each as from Friday, 20 October 2023.

In a statement on Thursday (19 October), Massmart’s Vice President of Marketing Katherine Madley said the retailers are excited to launch MrBeast chocolate bars in South Africa.
“The future of retail is about innovation and ensuring you are keeping up with trends and demand. Since Feastables are hugely popular overseas, we saw the opportunity to be the first to launch them in the local market and expect that our younger customers will be excited about the launch,” she said.

Game and Makro stores are stocking all four Feastable variants – Milk Chocolate, Deez Nuts (milk chocolate with peanut butter), Crunch (milk chocolate with puffed rice) and Original Chocolate.
Massmart is also looking to integrate the Feastables launch into its game GAME on Roblox, which has gained over 150,000 plays so far.
Donaldson, who is American, has gained worldwide popularity for his YouTube videos that showcase his expensive stunts and challenges. He has amassed over 200 million YouTube subscribers on his main YouTube channel, making it the largest of any individual content creator and the second largest overall. He also posts philanthropy and gaming content on his other channels.
Donaldson is the second YouTuber to tap into the South African market. Earlier this year, local retailer Checkers started selling PRIME Hydration drink, which Logan Paul and KSI launched in January 2022.
