With the application closing date around the corner, knowing the Ukwazi School of Nursing requirements and fees for the 2024 academic year becomes even more important.
The School has two campuses in South Africa – one in Roodepoort in Gauteng and the other in Potchefstroom in the North West. Both campuses have similar admission requirements and use the same application form that is available online.
This article provides useful information for applicants who wish to gain admission for the January 2024 intake. Applications opened on 1 March 2023 and the closing date is 30 June 2023, so time is quickly running out.
To start off, there are two programmes on offer at the School in both campuses:
- Higher Certificate in Nursing (1 year) (auxiliary nurse programme): Intake date is 16 January 2024.
- Diploma in Nursing (3 years) (general nurse programme): Intake date is 30 January 2024.
Both qualifications can open job opportunities for students who obtain them and register with the South African Nursing Council (SANC). They can also be a first step towards higher qualifications such as higher certificates, advanced diplomas, degrees or postgraduate diplomas.
