If you’re in South Africa and looking for quality, affordable private healthcare, the Unjani Clinic price list for 2023 would certainly be of interest to you.
The Unjani Clinic network, currently numbering 140 clinics, is becoming increasingly popular across the country. It is based on an owner-operator model, providing permanent work opportunities for nurses who in turn offer affordable healthcare to communities.
In a recent healthcare report, Deloitte hailed the network for reducing the burden on public healthcare systems by offering medical services at low prices.
“The Unjani Clinics model, which focuses on developing and expanding a network of nurse-owned and operated clinics, shows the critical role the private sector can play in delivering cost-effective and efficient primary healthcare that helps to free up scarce capacity in the public sector,” the report stated.
A non-profit organisation, Unjani Clinics NPC, manages the network. Its mission is to “empower black women, build a sustainable network of nurse-owned and operated primary healthcare clinics nationally and create permanent jobs.”
The clinics are 100 percent black women-owned and are located in underserved communities. This means that they provide health services at the point of need.
