Job seekers in South Africa can now see the latest government job vacancies as of 24 March after the publication of DPSA Circular 11 of 2023.
The Department of Public Service and Administration (DPSA) issued the circular on Friday – as it does every week in keeping with its mandate.
DPSA Circular 11 of 2023
If you’re looking for the latest public service vacancies in South Africa as of 24 March 2023, you can view them in DPSA Circular 11 of 2023 on the DPSA’s documents page here.
The PDF document is relatively short – just 178 pages long. Not to worry, though, because there are still plenty of vacant positions to check out across national departments, institutions and provincial administrations.
DPSA’s newsroom page for this circular also has links to shorter PDF documents truncated from the circular. These documents show vacancies for each department or province separately, allowing job hunters to zoom in on a preferred department.
In the circular, the DPSA advises potential applicants that it is not responsible for the contents of the job advertisements. This means that if you have an enquiry about a vacancy, you must contact the department or provincial administration that made the advertisement, not the DPSA.
The DPSA also advises departments to bring the circular to the attention of all employees. This ensures that public servants who are already in the system also have a chance to apply for a higher-ranking job.
“It must be ensured that employees declared in excess are informed of the advertised vacancies. Potential candidates from the excess group must be assisted in applying timeously for vacancies and attending where applicable, interviews,” the Department adds.
“Candidates must be assessed and selected in accordance with the relevant measures that apply to employment in the Public Service.” Good luck!
