Job seekers in South Africa would be pleased to know that DPSA Circular 8 of 2023, which was issued on 3 March 2023, contains more than 360 pages of the latest government vacancies.
This promises a bigger number of public service vacancies this week compared to the previous circulars issued this year so far.
DPSA Circular 8 of 2023 vacancies
Work seekers can visit the DPSA’s document’s page here to view the latest vacancies as advertised in DPSA Circular 8 of 2023. Alternatively, visit the Department’s newsroom page to search jobs in your preferred government institution or province.
This week, 19 departments and institutions have advertised vacant positions alongside six provincial administrations. Eastern Cape, Northern Cape and Limpopo are the only provinces that haven’t advertised jobs this week.
The Circular provides directions to applicants as follows:
- Submit your application on form Z83 (if necessary, add a separate sheet or CV).
- Submit your application to the entity making the vacancy advertisement, not the DPSA. This applies to inquiries too.
- Use the corrent reference number for the position you’re applying for.
- Apply within the specified deadline.
You can download form Z83 from the DPSA website here alongside a practice note.
In case the position you’re applying for requires you to register for the senior management service (SMS) pre-entry certificate, you can find the registration details on the National School of Government’s website.
“Candidates must be assessed and selected in accordance with the relevant measures that apply to employment in the public service,” DPSA states in the Circular.
