SABC TV licence balance check
You can do your SABC TV licence balance check on your cellphone. Simply SMS your ID number or TV licence number to 44210. You will then receive an SMS showing your balance. The standard SMS rates will apply.
Alternatively, you can check your balance by registering online on the SABC’s TV licence platform. You will need to provide your details such as ID or passport number, TV licence number, email address and cellphone number. Once you have successfully registered and logged in, your balance will be displayed on your profile.
SABC TV licence payment options
There are several SABC TV licence payment options, including online and at more than 10,000 pay points across South Africa. These pay points include retailers that use Easypay or banks/ATMs.
To pay TV licence online, visit the SABC’s licence platform and login to your account. This option requires you to use your debit or credit card details, so make sure you have them ready along with your cellphone for SMS OTPs.
