The Shoprite Group in South Africa has unveiled some of its best Checkers and Shoprite Black Friday specials 2022 on offer, including a massive R1,000 saving on an air fryer.
The deals will be available from Thursday, 24 November to Sunday, 27 November 2022, the group said in a statement on Wednesday. Checkers’ new specialist stores, including Little Me and Checkers Outdoor, will also participate in the shopping bonanza for the first time.
“It is guaranteed to be the supermarket retailer’s biggest Black Friday ever, with plenty of stock, extended shopping hours and additional employees on hand to ensure a rewarding shopping experience for customers,” the group said.
Customers do not need to worry about load shedding because the company has installed alternative power solutions at all its stores countrywide, including diesel generators and Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems.
Besides in-store shopping, customers can also shop via the group’s digital channels such as the Shoprite and Checkers websites, Petshop Science ecommerce website and the Checkers Sixty60 app.
“There’s a lot of focus around system stability and being able to scale the system in line with customer demand. We are ready, our systems are ready and we do not anticipate any issues,” the group’s head of digital technologies Debbie Cunningham said.
