The government has published its latest job vacancies in DPSA Circular 38 of 2022, giving job seekers in South Africa another chance to find their ideal public service employment.
The Department of Public Service and Administration published the circular on Friday, 7 October. This is the norm every Friday except in the last weeks of December.

“Although the circular is issued by the Department of Public Service and Administration, the Department is not responsible for the content of the advertisements. Enquiries about an advertisement must be addressed to the relevant advertising department,” DPSA advised potential applicants.
As usual, you must submit your application on form Z83, where you need to provide your full details such as qualifications, experience and competencies. Be sure to use the correct reference number for the particular vacancy in your application.
Free public service courses
Meanwhile, the National School of Government (NSG) has announced two new online courses for public servants. The courses are titled “Championing Anti-discrimination in the Public Service” and “Managing Performance in the Public Service.”
In a recent statement, NSG said the free courses “are aimed at middle managers to assist them to understand the public service performance management and development system better.”
“The NSG has waived the fees for the ‘Championing Anti-Discrimination in the Public Service’ [course] to enable a speedier self-enrolment and access by public servants. The participants will study at their own pace online,” it added.
“The ‘Managing Performance in the Public Service’ course is designed to assist employees who are not part of the Senior Management Service to manage their own performance and abide by the public service performance management system prescripts.”
The courses are available on the NSG’s E-learning platform. Once you’re on the platform, follow the steps below to enrol:
- Click “Enter Open eLearning Courses.”
- Enter your username and password to log in. If you don’t have a profile yet, click “Register” and follow the on-screen prompts.
- Once you’ve logged in, you will be able to view the available courses. Select the one you wish to enrol for to begin your self-paced online learning.
