Reality star Kim Kardashian has teamed up with veteran true crime producer Lori Rothschild Ansaldi on a brand-new podcast titled Kim Kardashian’s The System: The Case of Kevin Keith, which has premiered on Spotify.
This follows a partnership between Spotify, Colors Of Change (the largest online racial organisation in the US) and Calling All Crows, an organisation that connects and mobilises music fans to join movements for justice and equality.
‘Kim Kardashian’s The System’ podcast
The System shares the story of Kevin Keith, a man convicted of triple homicide who, for 28 years, has been working alongside his family to prove he was wrongly accused.
The podcast will run for eight episodes, during which Kim Kardashian and Rothschild Ansaldi will work with investigators and experts to uncover the complexities of Keith’s case. The show will also expose cracks within the story and highlight how the US’ legal system is broken.
Episode 1
The first two episodes of The System are available to listen to now on Spotify. The first episode covers Keith’s life imprisonment in 1994 following a massacre in Ohio. Backed by his family and legal team, he has fought for years for his case to be re-evaluated.
Kim takes a closer look at the case, hoping to highlight all the good and bad things that occur behind the scenes in a criminal case.
Episode 2
The second episode tests Kevin’s alibi. Where was Kevin on the night of 13 February 1994? Kim, Lori and the team go through the police records and witness accounts to piece together his alibi. Listeners will also hear the first victim statement.
