The Capricorn TVET college online application 2024 opened on 1 September 2023 and is set to close on 30 September 2023, according to an announcement on Facebook by the South African institution earlier this month.
The applications are open for all Nated and National Certificate Vocational (NCV) courses offered, the college added.
Capricorn TVET college online application 2024
Prospective students making a Capricorn TVET college online application 2024 need to write a pre-entry test on the college’s learner profiler website before making the application.
Pre-entry test
To write the test, you need to create an account on the website and log in. The portal will require you to choose your preferred campus. The campuses include Polokwane, Senwabarwana, Central Office, Seshego and Ramokgope.

Next, the profiler will ask you to choose a group between Nated, Skills Courses, National Certificate Vocational, Distance Learning Nated and Prevocational Learning Programmes. You will further need to choose a sub-group, which depends on your chosen group.
You will then need to provide your personal details such as email, ID number, student number (if issued), name and surname, date of birth, gender, cellphone number, and last school attended.
The last step is to create a password for your account and agree to the terms and conditions. The profiler will then open a webpage where you can write the test. “A pre-entry test must be written and completed before applying,” the college stated.
How to apply
To make your application, visit Capricorn Coltech student portal here (after you complete the pre-entry test, the learner profiler website will automatically redirect you to the student portal). Click “select a course” to view and choose from the various available courses if you’re still unsure which course to pursue.
Select the year, duration of the course (one year, trimester or semester), campus, full time or part time, study direction and finally, the course. At this stage, click “apply for this course” to make your application.
You will then see a notification that states: “This application does NOT imply that you are registered for the selected course. A space is NOT reserved for you. This application process means that it will speed up your registration process at the College.”
The notification also alerts you that you will still need to finalise your application at your selected campus. Click “OK” to proceed. Make sure you have your email address, cellphone number, ID number and a copy of next of kin’s ID ready.
Good luck!
