Learning how to cancel Apple Music subscription on iPhone, Mac, Windows PC or even an Android device comes in handy when you’ve had a change of mind about keeping the service.
Fortunately, Apple has made it easy to end a subscription on practically any device you may have. We outline the steps to follow below.
How to cancel Apple Music subscription
Finding out how to cancel Apple Music subscription via the internet is easy. First, visit Apple Music and click on the “Sign In” button on the top right hand of the page. If you don’t see this button, it may mean you’re already signed in.
Next, click on the account icon and select “Settings.” You then need to scroll down to “Subscriptions” and select “Manage.” The final step is to select “Cancel Subscription.”

iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch
First, open the Settings app and tap your name followed by “Subscriptions.” Next, click on the subscription you want to manage. In this case, it would be Apple Music. The final step is to tap “Cancel Subscription.”

On Mac, the first step is to open the Apple Store app. Next, click on the sign-in button or your name on the bottom left of the sidebar. Next, click “View Information” at the top of the window, which may bring up a prompt for you to sign in.
On the page that pops up, scroll down until you see “Subscriptions” and click “Manage.” A list of subscriptions will show, after which you need to click “Edit” on the one you wish to end. Finally, click “Cancel Subscription.”
You can cancel Apple subscription via Windows PC using iTunes. First, open iTunes on your PC and select “Account” from the menu bar on the top right side. You will need to sign in with your Apple ID if you aren’t logged in.
Next, click “View Account,” scroll to “Settings” and click “Manage” which appears next to “Subscriptions.” Click “Edit” next to “Apple Music” followed by “Cancel Subscription.”
“If you pay for Apple Music with Google Pay, you can cancel your subscription only in the Apple Music app on your Android device or at play.google.com,” Apple advises.
To do this, open the app, tap the three dots on the right hand corner and choose “Account.” Look for “Subscription” and tap “Manage Membership” under it.
If you’re in South Africa, Israel or Turkey, you can cancel you Apple Music subscription immediately. In this case, you can claim a prorated refund – if any – by contacting Apple Support.
