Mobile operator Cell C has introduced new day-to-day data deals – with customers paying for a larger data bundle upfront and receiving daily allocations.
In a statement on Wednesday (1 December), Cell C’s chief commercial officer said the new bundles will offer customers value for money.
“The bundles offer the benefit of a once-off upfront payment and daily data allocation, giving our customers a sense of control and peace of mind that they won’t use up their whole bundle earlier than planned,” he explained.
New Cell C data deals explained
Cell C said the new data deals are available to top-up, prepaid and contract customers. Each day’s data allocation is made available at midnight until midnight the following day.
“Any unused data at the end of each day will be forfeited and cannot be carried over and/or extended,” the mobile operator explained.
Three new bundles have been introduced, with prices starting at R89 for weekly bundles until R299 for monthly bundles.
Customers can buy their preferred day-to-day bundles by dialling *147# on their cellphones.

You can view Cell C’s day-to-day data bundles in the table below:
Total data | Daily allocation | Number of days | Validity | Price |
---|---|---|---|---|
7GB | 1GB | 7 days | Daily allocation valid until midnight | R89 |
7.5GB | 250MB | 30 days | Daily allocation valid until midnight | R99 |
30GB | 1GB | 30 days | Daily allocation valid until midnight | R299 |
The new deals follow Vodacom’s introduction of Everyday-ta! bundles in August this year. Vodacom customers can similarly buy seven-day or 30-day data bundles which are then allocated daily.
A big difference is that the Everyday-ta! promotion also includes free YouTube data bundles.
For instance, if a customer buys 30GB at R299, he/she will have 1GB anytime data every day for 30 days, plus 2GB of YouTube allocation valid for 30 days.
Prices start from R99 for weekly bundles up to R299 for 30-day bundles.
