Checkers Sixty60 delivery service is now available in Polokwane, Limpopo, after Checkers launched it on Thursday (28 May).
In a statement, the retail giant said the one-hour on-demand grocery delivery service is now available in all nine provinces of South Africa.
2,100 jobs created
Checkers Sixty60 was first launched in 2019 and has created around 2,100 jobs so far.
“In the past three months, Sixty60 has rolled-out to over 40 new areas, including Kimberley and Upington (in the Northern Cape), Klerksdorp (in the North West province) and most recently Polokwane (in Limpopo), making this award-winning service available from more than 130 Checkers supermarkets nationwide,” Checkers said.
The service promises grocery delivery from Checkers stores in 60 minutes at a fee of R35 per delivery. Customers can choose from over 15,000 products on the Sixty60 app.
The retailer claimed that Sixty60 “has become the number one grocery shopping app in the country with over 1.4 million app downloads.”
How to use Checkers Sixty60 app
Once you have downloaded the app, open it and add your delivery address. Next, start the registration process by tapping “My Profile.”
Tap “Sign In” and then “Create an Account.” Fill in your name, surname, mobile number and email address. You are now ready to start ordering.
During the registration process, you can also sign up to receive updates on special offers as well as WhatsApp delivery updates.
Customers make payments via Visa and Mastercard credit and chip-enabled debit cards. The minimum order value is R100. A maximum of 30 items per order is allowed.
