Talented Durban-based rapper, producer and designer Prinston is marking a milestone with his brand new album Daydreaming.
This is his second album after Bedroom Dreams, which featured the 2011 hit single What They Like and 2010’s Closer.
Prinston’s ‘Daydreaming’
While it’s been a long road from the first album and Prinston’s 2014 EP dubbed Street Dreams, the second album is considered a must-listen.
Remarkably, Daydreaming is entirely self-produced and comprises 18 tracks with two skits. According to Spotify and Apple Music stats this week, the standout tracks from the album include Welcome to Durban, Beautiful, Footprints, Above The Moulds and Nominated.
On this album, Prinston collaborates with Durban’s fresh talents only, allowing fans to skip the “big-name” distraction and enjoy the music for what it is.
“Welcome To Durban really describes his city in a magical way while songs like Footprints have given some fans goosebumps,” Prinston’s press release on Monday states.
“There’s a lot of substance in the pen work and production on this album. From the title to the artwork to the music, it really describes what it means to daydream.”
