Celebrity couple Somizi Mhlongo and Mohale Motaung have struck an exclusive deal with Showmax to air their traditional and white weddings on the online streaming service.
According to Showmax’s website, the four-part wedding special will be dubbed Somizi & Mohale: The Union and will start on 24 February.
Somizi and Mohale had their star-studded and glitzy traditional wedding in Kibler Park, Johannesburg, in September last year.
Somizi and Mohale white wedding
The star couple held their white wedding on Thursday in Muldersdrift. They began sharing glamorous photos of their big day early in the morning – and Showmax was already heavily involved.
The streaming service said, “Somhale’s four-part wedding special is a front-row seat to one of the most historic, heartfelt and not forgetting fabulous weddings in South African celebrity history.”
Several celebrities also tweeted throughout the day that they were headed for the Somizi and Mohale wedding.
They included radio presenter Thando Thabethe, entrepreneur and former Miss SA Basetsana Khumalo, singer Vusi Nova, entertainer Khanyi Mbau, and TV presenter Minnie Dlamini, amongst others.
Only the best for Somizi’s white wedding
The celebrity couple pulled out all the stops for their white wedding. To start with, their diamond-studded wedding rings are engraved with their respective names.
They also planned to go through three wedding outfits, including Christian Louboutin shoes. At least one outfit was designed by Gert-Johan Coetzee.
Zavion Kotze, who recently planned former Miss SA Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters’ wedding, was in charge of the décor.
Somizi and Mohale also imported some of the best flowers one can find from four countries – Kenya, the Netherlands, Colombia and Thailand.
After their traditional wedding last year, the two lovebirds went off on a mini-honeymoon in Mpumalanga.
It’s unclear where they plan to go for their honeymoon this time around. Mohale got plenty of suggestions from his Twitter followers when he asked for ideas recently.
