Cassper Nyovest has lamented the fact that few sponsors have pitched up for his upcoming Fill Up Royal Bafokeng concert.
The popular rapper shared the official poster for the concert on Twitter on Monday.
Fans noticed that it only had logos of events companies Family Tree and The Bridge Entertainment as well as ticketing website webtickets.co.za.
‘Hard for a black entrepreneur’
Besides those, there were no logos of sponsors on the poster. It featured Mufasa’s image and information on venue, date and ticket prices.
A fan remarked, “Wow no sponsors on the poster. You would think after attracting more than 100k people in the past they would jump.”
In response, Cassper said he struggles to find sponsors for his annual Fill Up concerts despite their huge successes.
He wrote, “I struggle with sponsors every year with Fill up. One would think they would be fighting to be part of the property now but nah, it’s hard for a black entrepreneur in SA bro. It’s so hard!!!! But we soldier on!!! 15 December, we #FillUpRoyalBafokeng!!!!”
His fans, such as @Skate_TYO, sought to encourage him: “But your drive, passion and work ethic has and will always see you through. The sponsors will latch on closer to the day of the event. @PresidencyZA, Arts and Culture [department[ and North West provincial government must get on this asap.”
