1Magic’s The River has secured a prestigious International Emmy Award nomination for Best Telenovela.
The popular local show will be up against other telenovelas from Argentina, Portugal and Colombia.
The Awards will take place on 25 November in New York, United States.
The River is produced by Tshedza Pictures and features a stellar cast, including Hlomla Dandala and Sindi Dlathu.
It tells the story of two families, the Mokoenas and Dlaminis, and their intertwining stories of wealth and poverty.
Earlier this year, it won a whopping 11 awards at the South African Film and Television Awards.
