She might be going through a difficult period, but Public Protector Busisiwe Mkhwebane can still afford to get her dancing shoes on.
On Tuesday evening, Deputy Public Protector Kevin Malunga shared a video of himself and Mkhwebane dancing.
They were part of a group of ombudsmen unwinding after a long day’s work at a conference in Gaborone, Botswana.
Mkhwebane is seen in the video getting her groove on, seemingly carefree despite all her troubles back home.
There have been calls for her removal from office following the recent Constitutional Court ruling against her.
The Court upheld a personal costs order against Mkhwebane, meaning she would have to cough up close to R1million in legal fees.
None of that was on her mind as she waltzed away on Tuesday.
The clip warmed the hearts of South Africans on Twitter. Many lauded Mkhwebane for her “free-spirited” nature.
Mkhwebane is such a free spirited human being, no trace that so much is happening around her.
