What do Gareth Cliff, DJ Sbu, DJ Fresh, Robert Marawa and Tbo Touch have in common?
Your guess is as good as ours – they either left their traditional radio jobs or got fired from them.
Either way, these broadcast legends have become the ultimate comeback kings by pursuing new media ventures.
On Wednesday night, Gareth Cliff hosted them along with yet another legend Trevor Gumbi on CliffCentral.com – and it was super inspiring.
The only legend missing was Phat Joe, who is currently on suspension from Radio 2000.
Nevertheless, the show – Pure Conversations – saw the mega stars sharing their brave and inspiring comeback stories.

And what would be the name of such a station? Trust imaginative South Africans for this one – Fired FM.
We wish the inspiring group all the best – and if ever they decide to team up (at Fired FM) – even better!
