What do Gareth Cliff, DJ Sbu, DJ Fresh, Robert Marawa and Tbo Touch have in common?

Your guess is as good as ours – they either left their traditional radio jobs or got fired from them.

Either way, these broadcast legends have become the ultimate comeback kings by pursuing new media ventures.

On Wednesday night, Gareth Cliff hosted them along with yet another legend Trevor Gumbi on – and it was super inspiring.

The only legend missing was Phat Joe, who is currently on suspension from Radio 2000.

Nevertheless, the show – Pure Conversations – saw the mega stars sharing their brave and inspiring comeback stories.

Some fans legit want a radio station with all these stars in it – now imagine that!

Kanene you guys were all fired from your previous jobs, I wonder what y’all are cooking, can’t wait if there’s any.

And what would be the name of such a station? Trust imaginative South Africans for this one – Fired FM.

We wish the inspiring group all the best – and if ever they decide to team up (at Fired FM) – even better!
